Bodrum - Marmaris or vice versa (Blue Voyage)
Starting your charter from Bodrum and cruising to Marmaris or vice versa, you have nice options to discover the bays in the area.
Bodrum is an amazing spot to start your charter from. The busy town is one of the biggest yachting centre and offers so many possibilities. There are fantastic bays in the Gulf of Hisarönü.
Marmaris has great shopping facilities along with a wide selection of restaurants to visit.
Our suggested itinerary is :
Bodrum : A lively costal town. Ancient Halicarnassos where the Mausoleum (one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world) was, lively night life, The Museum of Underwater Archaeology at the castle worth visiting.
Knidos : Ancient site with a history of 3000 years. Anchoring at the ancient commercial harbour. The ruins are fantastic.
Mesudiye : Nice small seaside village with local charm.
Datça : Small coastal town with nice restaurants and small shops.
Selimiye : Nice small seaside village.
Kameriye Island, easy walk to old Monastery.
Bozburun : Small coastal town of sponge divers and boat builders.
Bozukkale (ancient Loryma) : A beautiful bay dominated by Hellenistic Citadel. Walking on the walls of the castle at sunset is a great experience.
Serçe Bay : The place where the famous "Glass Wreck" which is displayed at the museum in Bodrum Castle was found and excavated.
Gebekiste : A nice bay with old church ruins.
Kumlubük (ancient Amos)
Cennet Island : A beautiful island with nice bays.
Marmaris : A busy seaside town with very lively market and shopping area. Nice restaurants.
These are the main sites on the way. There are many other naturally beautiful, isolated coves and bays en route where you can stop for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, etc. You can decide on your daily route with the captain if you would like to.
