Bodrum - Gulf of Hisarönü - Bodrum (Blue Voyage)

Gulf of Hisarönü is a beautiful area. This route would provide a great variety of historical ancient sites like Knidos, small villages like Mesudiye, Orhaniye, Selimiye, small towns like Datca and Bozburun and a bigger coastal town of Bodrum. Above all there are hundreds of natural uninhabited bays, coves and islands en route where you can enjoy swimming, snorkelling and enjoying the nature.

 

Our suggested itinerary is :

 

Bodrum : A lively costal town. Ancient Halicarnassus where the Mausoleum (one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world) was, lively night life, The Museum of Underwater Archaeology at the castle (the Castle of St. Peter) worth visiting. You can also visit the Gate of Myndos and the Ancient Theatre.

 

Knidos : Ancient site with a history of 3000 years. Anchoring at the ancient commercial harbour. The ruins are fantastic.

 

Datça : Small coastal town with nice restaurants and small shops.

 

Bozburun : Small coastal town of sponge divers and boat builders.

 

Dirsek : A stunning nice bay only reachable by boat.

 

Kameriye Island : A nice island with and old Monastery. Easy walk to the Monastery.

 

Selimiye Village : A nice village where you can see the local life. Also a large bay with beautiful scenery.

 

Bencik : A fantastic natural bay. Quiet anchorages surrounded by pine forestry.

 

Çiftlik : Quite anchorage surrounded by pine forestry.

 

Palamut Bükü : Small harbour, green with almond trees and crops. The exceptionally clear water.

 

Mesudiye : Nice small seaside village with local charm.

 

Mersincik : A nice bay.

 

Black Island : Uninhabited naturally preserved island with beautiful bays.
